OUR FAVORITE LETTER
I grew up on Cobbosseecontee Lake with four siblings and three sets of cousins. We passed the lighthouse on our way to the islands for cookouts, sleepovers, and picnics. The light was turned off during the war, but we would frequently stop our boats and run around, check it out inside, and, if we were really daring, swim off the rocks. What freedom we had. It’s nice that the light was restored after the war, but I bet the kids today don’t have the same sense of freedom that we were lucky enough to experience.

A quintessential Maine gift. We’ve captured Maine in images and put together an exclusive selection of calendars featuring lighthouses, lupines, sea glass, coon cats, and more.
