Already, the milky way is now appearing more vertical in the northern skies than it was just a few scant months ago when this image was made. It was the first milder night, at a balmy 40 degrees. Despite not being a completely new moon, the conditions this evening were amazing to shoot the Milky Way and marvel at how the night sky transforms our landscape. #nikonphotography #nikontop #nikon750 #massachusetts #igersmass #igersma #visitmass #getoutside #thegreatmilkywaychase #milkyway #milkywaychasers #milkywaypics #longexposhots #longexposures#newenglandphotography #ignewengland #igersnewengland #ig_newengland #nightshooterz #milkywaychasers #milkyway #stars #longexpoelite #capeporpoise #igersme #igersmaine #thewaylifeshouldbe #darkskies #reflections #stars

To me this fish house looks like it’s been in this place for years! In fact it has recently been restored and has become a favourite place for photographers to catch a great image! My last shot in this mini experiment… I can say the b&w and grey was more challenging than I thought. I did like the nostalgic feeling it creates… 3/3. • • #maine #scenesofnewengland #themainemag #capeporpoise #mainelife #downeastmagazine #lovemaine #mainetheway #kennebunkport #kennebunkportmaine #everything_imaginable #country_features #nautical_images #global_creatives #gottalove_a_ #agameoftones #getoutside #ig_countryside #blackandwhitephotography #ipulledoverforthis #moodygrams #picturestokeep_rural #picturetokeep_nature #picturestokeep_bnw

Crazy how the tides change, tables turn. Feels like just yesterday I moved back into the valley after spending a few months on the coast of Maine for college. Yet here I am again, just a few days away from packing up and heading back. I’m going to miss the valley, lots of good things happening here. However, I’m looking forward to being back on the coast. The ocean does things for your mind. The salt in the air, and cool ocean breezes, sounds of the seagulls and offshore bells. I’ve been on a creative boost lately, and I hope the trip back to the coast sparks it up even more. Slowly finishing up some fun projects that I’m looking forward to sharing, and some really great ideas and plans for the coming months!!

This shot I captured was worth wet feet! The leading lines here work so well! The coast of Maine is heavily sprinkled with beautiful, yet simple, details that make for fabulous compositions. Many aren’t clearly noticeable as you drive down the road, however, with some effort, there are opportunities around every corner – or in this situation, a little wade in the water. #dostiephoto #maine #mainetourism #harbor #ocean #boathouse #fishhouse #cove #capeporpoise @downeastmagazine @maine_igers @nikonusa @mainetourism @newkptfestival @pdnonline @betterhomesandgardens @coastal_living @maine_lobsterfishermen @mainetheway @visitmaine #mainephotography #mainephotographer #newengland @yankeemagazine @islandportpress @modern.architect @landscapephotomag #seascape #summer #travel #travelphotography

On this particular morning I went out to a new location. Somewhere I had never been before. I woke up a bit late and started scrambling around when I got there trying to find the best composition before I lost the good light. I couldn’t decide and just started snapping photos of everything. Even now looking at the results of my mad snapping, I can’t decide what one I like the best. So I need some help, swipe through and let me know what one is your favorite! 1? 2? 3? 4?5? . . #maine #sunrise #capeporpoise #fishingshack #ocean #coast #colors #onlyin207 #maineoutdoors #downeastmagazine #mainecoast #mainewinter #mainelife #portlandpressherald #visitnewengland #themainemag #nature #thewaylifeshouldbe #northeast #lovemaine #thenortheastcollective #vacationland #wildvisuals #exploremaine #mainething #downeastmagazine #newengland #awakethesoul #scenicmaine #naturalmaine

“Cape Porpoise Charm” Just a few miles from Kennebunkport’s famous Dock Square lies the quiet seaside village of Cape Porpoise. This was the original settlement in this area in the 1600’s of Native Americans and later English sailors. To this day it is still a working fishing harbor, with fisherman making a living from this home base to head in and out to the Atlantic Ocean. Although part of Kennebunkport Cape Porpoise has its own post office inside of the classic general store, Bradbury’s Market, giving the area even more of a classic old fashioned feel. Despite weather reports showing tots cloud cover rolling in before sunset we still headed over to check out this beautiful area. Luckily the reports were wrong and the sky turned into a beautiful water coloring painting with blue sky and white clouds mingling together. Calm waters provided a perfect reflection of the sky and raised buildings here at this spot. Couldn’t have asked for any better conditions to enjoy this amazing New England landscape on Memorial Day weekend! • • • • • #aswediscover #moodygrams #kennebunkport #capeporpoise #maine #earthfocus #gramslayers #discoverearth #VisualAmbassadors #amazing_shots #natgeoyourshot #depthsofearth #artofvisuals #earth_shotz #wondermore #newengland #mynewengland #downeastmaine #maineisgorgeous #mainephotography #reflectiongram #splendid_reflections
