4th Rally for Norlands: Civil War Reenactment
Livermore, ME 04253
One of the largest Civil War Reenactments in Maine, this event features a variety of living history demonstrations, exhibits, and engaging activities remembering the activities of the Civil War in the Spring of 1863. It is organized by the 3rd Maine Company A and 15th Alabama Company G to benefit Maine’s oldest living history farm and museum.
Live-In History at Norlands: 24 Hours on the Farm

Immerse yourself in 1870. Spend 24 hours on the farm. This is an exciting, hands-on learning experience for individuals and groups. An overnight introduction to the chores, food, activities, and living conditions of the past and a unique way of learning about rural Maine farm life after the Civil War.
The next 24 Hour Live-In Experience at the Norlands is on April 26 and 27, 2013 is open to the public and just waiting for you to call and reserve a spot. Sign up by April 12th. Space is limited to a maximum of 16 participants.

Three weekends of winter fun in Bethel! We’re building a Snowcano – that’s right, a volcano made of snow! – to celebrate the season.
Feb. 9 – Sledding hill on the side of the Snowcano open to public (BYOS – bring your own sleds)
Feb. 16 – Snowcano erupts at 6:30 p.m.! A 40-foot-tall bonfire will be built inside a huge snow hill. The sparks and flames create the effect of a volcano – see it to believe it!
Feb. 23 – RAILWARS rail jam. Skiers & riders show off their best moves on rails set into the side of the Snowcano.
