I can't tell you how excited we are with the advance copies of "RUIN: Photography of a Vanishing America" by Brian Vanden Brink. Okay… admittedly we get excited about every new book as it arrives, but this one was special almost beyond description. First of all, as a physical expression, it's stunning to hold and flip-thru. If ever there was a coffee-table art/photography book that speaks to the reader as you hold it… Well, this is one of those. Second, while Brian Vanden Brink arguably is one of the most highly regarded architectural photographers in the game (having published two books prior and having been featured on covers for every — note: that's EVERY — major shelter or home design book in existence), this represents a glorious crossover of his talent into the world or art. His images make you want to reach out and touch every one of these subjects! Finally, this is a great value at $65. It's a large-format coffee-table (12x12; 144 pages) book, with jaw-dropping images and design that make it downright delectable… Tasty enough to where you want to take a bite out of every page!
