A reception Friday, October 4th at 5 p.m. celebrates Maine Potters Market's newest member, Elizabeth Louden and her colorful, graceful pots. Elizabeth was drawn to working in clay through her studies in Art History. She finds inspiration in studying the artwork of various cultures and ages. Of particular interest to her are historical and contemporary pots, textiles, and metalwork. Elizabeth's newest work explores the contrast of colors, textures and patterns on the surface of pots.

Anna Netrebko and Mariusz Kwiecien star as the lovestruck Tatiana and the imperious Onegin in Tchaikovsky’s fateful romance. Deborah Warner’s new production, set in the late 19th century, moves episodically from farmhouse to ballroom, with a powerful snowstorm providing the dramatic setting for the finale. Russian maestro Valery Gergiev conducts. Eugene Onegin is a co-production of the Metropolitan Opera and English National Opera.

Join Sean Fleming and his 8-piece Dam' Rag Scotta Orchestra for the "Real Ragtime Concert," a collection of classic, early 20th century Ragtime and early jazz pieces, on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 7:30 pm, at the Congregational Church of Bristol. Proceeds from this concert will benefit the church. Performed in the original styles and tempos rarely heard today, the concert will feature compositions by Confrey, Gershwin, Joplin, Lamb, Morton, Shepherd, and Scott.
