FiberME 2013 is the 2nd annual tour of all things fiber in Maine, August 4 - 9, 2013. Each day the group will travel by bus starting and ending at Halcyon Yarn in Bath, ME. The group will visit artists' studios, farms, mills, a dyehouse, and galleries.

Halcyon Yarn's FiberME 2013, a week-long bus tour of all things fiber in Maine, takes place Sunday, August 4 through Friday, August 9. Each day begins and ends at Halcyon Yarn in Bath and includes visits to mills, galleries, farms, and fiber artists in different regions of Maine. Some highlights include Eggemoggin Textile Studio, Sara Hotchkiss, Jagger Bros Spinning Mill, Romney Ridge Farm, Swans Island Blankets, a fiber craft show, a welcome reception at Halcyon Yarn, and a traditional lobster bake by the ocean in Georgetown.

This new exhibit focuses on York’s continued history as a working waterfront community. Researched through interviews with fishermen and family members, the exhibit examines the fishing and lobstering industry in York today and back through the 20th century. Free.
