MHPC Employee Linked to Racist Statements
Leif Parsell, the State House reporter for the conservative Maine Heritage Policy Center's new Website, The Maine Wire, has apparently left a long online trail of statements advocating for the superiority of people of "European descent" and against diversity, immigration and the intermingling of people of different races.
Earlier today The State of Maine, a newly-created blog with no listed author, posted links to recent statements by Parsell on the site PolicyMic.com, where the new MHPC employee states that "cultural diversity combines with our increasing racial and ethnic diversity to degrade our society" and recommends a video with white supremacist themes.
In other places on the same website, Parsell laments that the United States, which he says is "historically white," has declined "ethnically" over the past 60 years.
The statements aren't limited to a single Website. Parsell has also taken his belief in European ethnic superiority to Facebook and to blogs across the internet.
For one example, he runs a Facebook group advocating for the selection of a dictator along the lines of Rome's first emperor, Augustus, to protect "America, and the rest of Western Civilization" from ethnic decline.
"Europeans and European Americans must unite in an effort to survive falling birthrates, heavy immigration and a tide of multiculturalism which seeks to end political and cultural diversity," reads the group's description.
On the group's wall, Parsell declares that "Its about survival as a culture and a society. Lindburgh was very right, in the end its not the what (money, political power, ect) that matters, its the WHO. I'd rather have a country that had fallen behind India or China, then one that sold its soul to non-European immigrants and lost its culture, just to keep its GDP rising. [sic]"
Parsell's name and college email also appear in a database recently released by an offshoot of the hacker collective Anonymous called Nazi-Leaks or Operation Blitzkreig, which hacked a series of neo-nazi affiliated sites to retrieve their membership rolls. Parsell's information appears on a list (linked on this post) purporting to show individuals who purchased clothing or apparel from neo-nazi-linked German retailer Thor Steinar.
Parsell did not immediately respond to a request for comment on his online behavior.
