Despite his recent public statements and the op-ed he wrote for today's Wall Street Journal arguing against Maine's absentee and early voting program, Eliot Cutler himself has a history of voting early.

According to public records, Cutler has voted in eight general and November referendum elections between 2000 and 2009 while a registered voter in Cape Elizabeth. In five of these, including the 2002 governor's race and the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections, he voted early by absentee ballot.
