Prediction Pool Results In Race For Maine Governor
I'll be waiting a little bit to announce the full results of the prediction pool, as the last numbers come in and the last recounts are decided, but I've decided to do the Governor's race a bit early - mostly because that Red Claws game was coming up quickly and we needed to pick one of the winners to receive the prize.
So here are the results from the main event:

Error is determined by finding the difference between the actual result and the predicted percentage for each candidate, adding them together and dividing by two. Results are from the Bangor Daily News.
Cutler surprised most of Maine with his late charge, and the pool reflected this. Most entrants predicted a much wider margin for LePage.
As you can see from the top ten predictions (out of 85 valid entries), many people predicted LePage, Moody and Scott's totals with relative accuracy. Cutler and Mitchell proved a bit harder to peg. Interstingly, six of the top ten entries predicted a win for Cutler.
You may recognize some of the names on this list, but the winner for the category chose to use a pseudonym. Congratulations to "hoagie."
