Topics include the mundus imaginalis and the meaning of creative imagination, spiritual alchemy, divine and human love, the poetic basis of the soul, and the role of the Angel Holy Spirit in the life of the soul.

 Dr. Hanson examines the relationship between the maturation of the ego and the growth in moral and spiritual development. Over the course of a full-day seminar and three evening classes, he will explore the development of religious and philosophical ideas and how each has served as stimulus and/or constraint upon the maturation of ego-consciousness.

The C. G. Jung Center and Bowdoin Counseling Services present the Mildred Harris seminar. This event is held each year in honor of the late Mildred Harris, founding benefactress of the Bruswick Jung Center. Richard Tarnas, author of Cosmos and Psyche, presents new research that provides more empirical support for Jung’s intuition of the value of astrology. Jung said, “Astrology represents the sum of all the psychological knowledge of antiquity.” Tarnas explores how this research opens new horizons for individuation and collective consciousness.
