Salt Stories: "Blood Line”
Ten groups of Salt Institute for Documentary Studies students visited the Oxford County Fair in Oxford, Maine and each found their own story to tell. Part 10 looks at the sport of harness racing.
"As the only legal form of horse racing in the state of Maine, harness racing is a unique sport that remains relatively obscure to the general population. But for the betters, drivers, vets and owners that uphold its traditions, there is one common thread that keeps it alive." — Producers Chris Gauthier and Penn Chan
