Salt Stories: "Unc'l Lunkers Bait and Tackle”
Nine groups of Salt Institute for Documentary Studies students went around the state this past winter looking for short stories to share. Part 4 heads to Bridgton to learn the story behind Unc'l Lunkers Bait and Tackle.
"Larry Schulz, owner and proprieter of Unc'l Lunkers Bait and Tackle, likes to say he retired at fifty-two to open his bait shop, but the fact that he works seven days a week will tell you otherwise. Here, he offers up his philosophies on ice fishing, life, and passing on the fishing tradition for the next generation." — Producers Shara Morris and Cory Valentine
Salt Stories features the work of students at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, a 15-week educational program training aspiring writers, radio producers, and photographers in the art of nonfiction storytelling.
