Salt Stories: "What is a Woodsman?"

Ten groups of Salt Institute for Documentary Studies students visited the Oxford County Fair in Oxford, Maine and each found their own story to tell. Part 2 looks at the woodsman competition by way of a few lumberjills.

"What is a woodsman? Is it a man with large arms? A person who works in the woods? A lumber jack? Is it a woman competing with a pink bow saw and a flower-patterned chopping block stand? The answer is all four. This multimedia piece explores the woodsman competition and community at the Oxford County Far through an unlikely participant: a lumberjill." — Producers Kelly Shetron, Elise Pepple and Kimmee Poole.
