Down East 2013 ©
This exhibit celebrates the Kennebunks role in the American Civil War through materials from the Museum’s collection, and an interactive display. Approximately 300 men from the Kennebunks served during the Civil War. Artifacts including uniforms, weaponry, a drum, and a coronet will be on display. Important archival materials and images will help to tell the stories of the roles these brave men played in the Civil War. The exhibit also portrays the impact that the conflict had at home and the changes it made to lives of Kennebunk citizens. (The Brick Store Museum is proud to be a partner in the Maine Civil War Trail Project scheduled for the summer of 2013)
