Named after the little black dog in Barbara Cooney's book, Ebbie is a Pekinese/Cockapoo. (Mom was purebred champagne colored Pekinese; Dad was the Cockapoo next door who jumped the fence.)
Maine attributes: Featured in Maine's premier literary publication — Uncle Henry's. We had to drive from Machias to Bingham to find her as Cockpoos are a rare breed in Washington County. She's a proud New Englander, undaunted by her questionable heritage or the fact that she started life in a Bingham trailer park.
