Winter snow blankets the year-round fishing hub of Mackerel Cove on Bailey Island. I love visiting this cove in the winter - the silence is heavy, interrupted only by the occasional cry of a seagull or a fishing boat gunning its engine.

Though I photograph in hancock and Washington County, I do love Mackeral Point and Long Point very much. You captured an incredible feel and developed a real emotion in this winter shot.
