Where is the Swinging Bridge?
In Skowhegan. The Swinging Bridge is a suspension footbridge originally built in 1883 that spans the south channel of the Kennebec River from Skowhegan Island to Alder Street. Damaged or destroyed several times over the years, the bridge was adopted by the town in 1902 and is maintained as a tourist attraction.
