Angus King Considers Senate Run
With Snowe's departure from the Senate, former governor Angus King has said he is mulling a run to fill Maine's vacant Senate seat. King is one of several prominent Maine politicians to signal their intentions to compete in November. In addition to Mike Michaud, Chellie Pingree, and John Baldacci, who all have begun getting the necessary signatures, Republican Senate President Kevin Raye, Secretary of State Charlie Summers, and former gubernatorial candidate Eliot Cutler have said they are leaving the door open to joining the race.
