Pro Skater Wins Maine Business Award
Tobias Parkhurst, a Waterville native, began skateboarding when he was ten years old. That passion followed him into his adult life, and he eventually earned a spot on the pro-circuit, competing in such high-level tournaments as the X-Games. Since his peak skating days, “Toebee” as he was known on the national scene, has played a fundamental role on the Augusta Skate Park Committee as well as in renovating the City of Augusta’s downtown area. Such work has earned him the Kennebec Valley Young Professional Award, which he is set to receive at an event later in the month.
