Wicked Cool: a Nightclub Made of Ice
Volunteers in Fort Kent have built a nightclub ice castle to be used during the Biathlon World Cup festivities.
The St. John Valley Times makes note of the clearness of the ice blocks, as well as the blue glow emanating from within. The credit goes to Fort Kent Chamber of Commerce director Jesse Jalbert and volunteer George Dumont who regularly visited Black Lake and shoveled off the snow to keep it clean. Each block cut from the lake weighs 400 pounds. Watch the ice being harvested on YouTube.
