Beware the Hogweed

Giant hogweed. The name alone is ugly. What the plant's sap does to your skin and eyes is even worse.

Native to the Caucasus Mountains in Russia, giant hogweed was introduced to American gardens in the early 1900s. Now it's considered a pest that should be eradicated. Four previously unknown giant hogweed sites were recently documented In Maine.
