Is Kelp the Answer?
Paul Dobbins and Tollef Olson are on the forefront of some of the most popular trends in America all because of a giant brown algae. Their company, Ocean Approved, farms kelp on Maine's ocean floor and sells it frozen to high end stores like Whole Foods. And because Kelp doesn't require arable land, doesn't use fresh water or fertilizers, absorbs carbon dioxide, and cleanses the ocean, some scientists are watching their progress closely.
