Down East Home Review
Enjoy master storyteller Van Reid and music from Celtic duo Castlebay, singer/songwriter David Dodson, and jazz singer Caroline Wyatt at a benefit for the Habitat for Humanity home to be built off Rte 130 in Bristol. Host Van Reid will celebrate the state he loves and its people through stories of adventure, friendship, laughter and love. Van lives in Edgecomb and is the author of five books in the popular Moosepath League series that follows the hilarious happenings in a nineteenth-century coastal Maine town. Reid will be joined by several musical acts including Castlebay who have been musically weaving together the heritage of New England and the Celtic lands since 1987. David Dodson of Camden writes, plays, and sings in all the American song styles and covers such diverse topics as life, death, yard sales, marriage, Dunkin' Donuts, overpopulation, and cars. Caroline Wyatt is both a classical soprano and a jazz musician. She grew up on Southport Island, attended North Yarmouth Academy and Oberlin Conservatory. Tickets are available at the Habitat office in Bath, Sherman's Books in Freeport, Camden and Boothbay Harbor and Maine Coast Book Shop & Cafe in Damariscotta.
