Make philanthropy part of your giving this season with a wine wrap that raises money for a good cause. Maine Made Wine Wraps (teamcristy@aol.com, mainemadewinewraps.com) have raised more than five thousand dollars for the Susan G. Koman Affiliate Race for the Cure since they were created a year ago by Ellen Russell, of Bangor, and Janet Bertucci, of Winterport, in memory of their friend Cristy Sullivan Warstler, who died of breast cancer at age thirty-one. Russell and Bertucci do not take a penny from sales of the wraps, which they and a handful of other volunteers sew in a variety of fabrics. They are sold in wine and gift stores in Bangor, Bar Harbor, Belfast, Blue Hill, Brewer, Camden, Castine, Ellsworth, Farmington, Gouldsboro, Hampden, Machias, Northeast Harbor, Orono, Rangeley, Stockton, and more. For a complete list of stores, visit Maine Made Wine Wraps on Facebook.
