Down East Enterprise employees work in a summer “cottage” called Roxmont, located on Route 1 in Rockport, Maine. From the heart of midcoast Maine we publish Down East Magazine,, and the Down East TV Channel, as well as Shooting SportsmanFly Rod & Reel, and Dispatch Magazines and their respective websites. Down East Magazine also has a sales office on Commercial Street, on the waterfront in Portland. Web Developer

Down East Enterprise is looking for a skilled, hands-on Webmaster for a full-time position in the Rockport, ME area.

The right individual will work closely with our systems manager as well as editorial, sales, marketing and design teams and should have experience with Website design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, Drupal, CMS, and other current Web applications for e-commerce and forums. An understanding of Website framework and mobile platforms is helpful.

We are looking for someone who likes problem solving, keeping current on new technology, and can bring innovative ideas to the table. We work in a fast-paced, creative environment that requires effective communication and prioritizing multiple projects at once.
