At these low prices, who wouldn't buy 3,800 pounds worth of lobster? That was the thinking of Celebrity Cruises when they agreed to supply their ship, the 965-foot Celebrity Summit, with Maine lobster when it makes stops in Portland and Bar Harbor over the next two months. The popular cruise line joins Holland America Line in making the pledge to support Maine lobstermen as prices have fallen to their lowest in years. The hope is that this will spur other cruise lines to do the same as they make their way along the Maine coast. What cruise passenger wouldn't want a freshly picked Maine lobster to go along with their views of Acadia?
