Seaside Science Children's Workshop

The Coastal Children’s Museum and National Audubon’s Project Puffin are teaming up to offer Seaside Science, a six week series of science workshops for children 6 and up focusing on topics such as biodiversity, adaptations, conservation and more. The workshops will take place from 3:30-4:30 starting Saturday May 25th and continue each Saturday until June 29th. Each program will focus on a different topic to build scientific knowledge and skills through activities, stories, games and art. The series culminates in an afternoon trip to Hog Island off of Muscongus Bay.

The Everyman Repertory Theatre, midcoast Maine’s professional theatre company, will present The Eight: Reindeer Monologues – a dark, dark Christmas comedy by Jeff Goode. This play geared towards adults opens a window into the North Pole where, despite what the carols say, all is not well. Accusations of sexual harassment against St. Nick are placing The Eight— Santa’s famed reindeer team — under the spotlight in a hilarious and revelation-filled evening.

The Rockland Congregational Church is presenting its 2013 Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival on January 5 and 6th , 2pm, in its sanctuary at 180 Limrock Street in Rockland. In the tradition of 6th Century England, this pageant celebrates in song and dance the triumph of Good over Evil in the birth of the Christ Child. Live animals, elaborate costumes and the Mid-Coast Brass Quintet make this pageant a tradition not to be missed.
