Throughout July and August, the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center will be open every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for “Living History Tours”. Visitors to the site are engaged by people, dressed in period clothing, who portray a local person, someone you might have met had you visited in 1870.

The Georgetown Working League is holding their 100th annual fair in 2013. Quilt raffle, handmade items,collectibles, homemade baked goods, art, crafts, books, jewelry, white elephants, childrens activities, lunch. All proceeds benefit the town.

Beginning June 1, Maine Potters Market displays a new collection of pots by Nancy Button. These pots reflect the joy of flight and the excitement of playing with the textures of the natural world.
Working with her favorite oak tree outside the studio, Nancy slaps a cut slab of clay against the tree, brings the impressed clay back inside, and shapes it into a vessel.

A show of unframed works by Abbott Meader of explorations that have occupied his attention over the years. The exhibit will feature many works that are involved in series and variations, ranging from the playful to the political, and from the grim to the goofy. These unframed works will be priced low as possible to encourage sales, with the majority of the income going to support Common Street Arts.
Opening reception, meet and greet the artist on Friday, June 7, from 5-8pm. Live music by the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School String Ensemble. Free, light refreshments. Exhibit and sale continues through June 29 in the historic cape, 272 Pikes Hill, Norway.

A free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios, museums, and alternative art venues is all part of Bar Harbor's First Friday Art Walks beginning on Friday, June 7th 6 - 9p.m. The festive evening includes galleries that will host special events showcasing artists, demonstrations, exhibits and receptions for local, Maine and National artists and craftspeople along with special theatre, musical and art events throughout the downtown.
