Maine: The Week in Review Blog Archive 2011
I’m sure regular readers of this feature have no idea as to the lengths to which I go in researching the material I include here. Each week, I spend countless hours scouring dozens of Web sites, broadcast news stories, comic books, and other important publications to locate the proper mix of serious news and frivolity that has become a mainstay of “Maine: The Week In Review.”
Maine inaugurated a new governor this week, amid much less pomp and circumstance than usual. While there was music – some martial pieces and, for reasons no one can explain, an a cappella group singing Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young songs. There were testimonials and recognitions of the state’s Indian tribes. And there was an inaugural address by Gov. Paul LePage.
